Blogging Health Check 2 - David

David, you have worked hard over the last few weeks to catch up with your research and planning tasks and your blog count of 35 posts shows that you are mostly up to date with the checklist. However, many of your posts are quite brief and lack detail, rely on just text and the order is a little haphazard, which affects the mark that can be awarded. This is a pity as you work so hard in class and clearly have lots of potential. Please read through the feedback below and complete targets at the bottom of the page:

strengths:
- caught up with most of the research tasks
- some evidence of planning for your title sequence

weaknesses:
- lots of key planning tasks still missing (see below)
- ICT - reliance on text and some images to present your learning / evidence
- time management - lots of binge posting rather than posting work with frequency
- level of detail - posts are very short or minimal and need to have more developed detail in them - why are you doing this post? what do you hope it will help you with? what have your learned as a result of it? how will it help you to develop your coursework / title sequence etc...? This is where you are dropping the most marks

to do / targets:
1. complete missing key planning tasks 27/28/34/35/37/39 (can be done as group posts)
2. be more creative / experimental with your use of ICT - aim to use prezi, emaze, padlet, camtasia videos, and youtube photoalbum to present your work visually
3. aim to post your work with more frequency - 4 times weekly (2 lessons and homeworks)
4. - provide as much detail as possible in your responses - give the context (why are you doing this post - what do you hope to find out?) and provide some evaluation (what have you learned, is it useful, how does it help develop your title sequence and planning for it etc...) Detail can also be shown in how the learning is presented using ICT rather than the amount of text you write.
5. go back and add in the correct titles of posts - these are just numbered but the moderator won't have the checklist so you need to give the correct title for each task using the checklist as a guide. You can still give the number but there needs to be a written title too.
