- Distribution -

Task 1

The two films my group and I found that is similar in budget and genre to our own are 'The Girl Next Door' (2007) and 'Dead Mans Shoes' (2004).
                                               
                                    
1) This film was distributed by Starz Home Entertainment which is owned by Anchor Bay Entertainment.

  • 2) After research I found out that this film was marketed through many methods. They used social media e.g. YouTube to post trailers of the film, created posters to promote the film and also used the actors in the film to publicize it.
                                         

 1) The distributors of this film were Studio Canal UK which is part of the Canal+ group.

    2) Similar to the previous film, Dead Mans Shoes was promoted through trailers of the film being posted on YouTube and TV adverts. Additionally, they marketed the film by distributing flyers and on billboards, announcing the premiere date of the film in cinemas.
