- Pitch - -Question 4 Representation-

Some of the characters we plan to show in the title sequence is the main character "Jackson Roberts" who is a police officer suspected to be responsible for the murder of a young 16 year old.As well as the murder victim himself ( name to be decided ). We decided to choose the two characters as they are both on the opposite ends of the spectrum. One is an officer of the law, sworn to serve and protect, The other is a young criminal ( or suspected criminal) on the run from the police. Showing these two opposing teams perfectly portrays the "crime" genre to the audience as well as sets up our story.

We chose these two character as they clearly show two of the different social groups in our film. The police trying to enforce the law. And the criminals/rebels try g to avoid it.

We begin by showing these social groups in a stereotypical way ( the police being the good guys and he criminals being the bad guys) But then begin to relate these two social groups to the films title "Grey Area". This title refers to all the things that everybody misses out on, all the undercover information that isn't told and all the plot then won't be revealed till the very end. After showing the title grey area we begin to start showing these social groups in a different light. Straying away from the stereotypes and conventions to give the audience a unique story.
