Conclusion
In a film's opening title sequence we expect to see:
- The title of a film
- Images that link to the film
- A soundtrack that reflects the mood/genre of the film
- An ident
- Credits
- Font/text
- Introduction to main characters and significant places
Although these film are 60 years apart, it interesting to see that they both still share many common features in their film sequences e.g. Film titles, credits, soundtrack etc. However, it is clear that over the years there have been many developements that have lead to the new style of title sequences with extra features such as bright colours, moving credits and improved graphics.
