- Analysis of The Best Man Holiday -

Here is the opening credits of my favourite film, The Best Man Holiday.
This film uses a 'Titles over moving image' title sequence structure which I think is extremely effective as it allows them to show the backstory of each character. Also, as the film is a sequel, it gives the audience previous events that took place in the first.

The credits follow in this order:
Production Companies ident (although it is not shown in this clip)
Film Distributors
Actors
Music By
Costume Designer
Editor
Production Designer

As this clip does not show the entire opening sequence, I assume that they will show the rest of the credits e.g Director, Producers etc. But it is clear from this video that this film does not follow the typical credit order.

Through the use of soundtrack and moving images, the audience's attention are immediately caught and we are introduced to the genre of the film. Although it does follow one of the main title sequence structures, it differs from many through the use of dialogue which is not common.
